The curious case of
Tuna Corn Pizza.

There is no ancient Italian decree concerning tuna and corn on pizza. This one belongs to the house.

Every kitchen has a dish that arrives without permission and refuses to leave. Tuna Corn Pizza is ours: a bright, salty, slightly unruly American invention for people who believe the pantry should occasionally surprise the table.

It begins with a good base, a little cheese, tuna that has been properly drained, and corn sweet enough to make the whole argument interesting. The point is not authenticity. The point is appetite, curiosity, and the pleasure of finding a combination that makes you look twice.

“Some dishes are inherited. Others simply show up hungry.”

Serve it hot, cut it into uneven pieces, and let the table decide whether it is genius. In this house, the answer is usually yes.
